Be a farmer, not a hunter...

The world of business has some cruel players and thankfully some more compassionate ones; hunters and farmers if you will.

Which character are you?

The hunter goes in for the kill.

They neither look for, nor are they interested in building relationships.
They try and wring as much out of every interaction as they possibly can.
Grab everything, then scarper.

Now, I'm all for living in the moment, but that's just crazy.

The farmer starts with a seed.

They water and nurture it.
Something starts to grow.
The farmer looks after it and the tree starts yielding fruit.
Winter comes and the farmer does some pruning.
The tree grows bigger and better the following year and yields even more fruit.

So, why not adopt a farmer's mindset in your business?

Cultivate and nurture your brand, as well as your relationships with customers.
Embrace the long game, for it ultimately yields a sweeter and juicier outcome.
